We operate as a team of dedicated people. Over the years, we have been working in metros and major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, etc. But the one thing different in us is that we are born in North East India, a place which is not much known or spoken about. The place is shrouded with mysteries and questions. With that differentiating factor, we thought about bringing forward something unique and different to the people of our Country. We have observed one thing, that when we talk to people in the Metros and cities about North East India, very little has been known or spoken about.
This project is basically an initiative to familiarize the Urban Society of India to the Rural North East India through the medium of Handiwork and Handicrafts. The products available on this portal are genuinely hand-built and manufactured by Village artists and sculptors in North East India. We serve as a medium of distribution to these Handicrafts produced by these gifted artists. For e.g. Naga shawls are one of the finest handiworks produced by the Local Weavers. The shawls not only provides warmth and comfort but is also very good looking. Apart from the fact that these shawls are also light in weight and are also available at longer lengths, similar to that of a Blanket.
People behind Paharizones:
Mr. Pradeep Nag
(YT channel: www.youtube.com/c/PaharizonesIndia
Instagram profile: nagpradeep )
is a Law Grad from Bangalore University. After graduation he worked as Inhouse Counsel of various companies Like Infosys, TCS, Thomson Reuters, etc. The best part of him is that he was born in a small city of Shillong, capital of the State Meghalaya . One of the North Eastern States. He is an avid reader and a Nature lover. Before going for graduation, Pradeep spend almost 20 years of his life in the hills of Shillong and has a close connection with greenery and mother nature. With increase in Pollution and Health Hazards, he always wanted to do something to help the environment and nature. He is not against development but against commercialization and development at the cost of destroying nature. Breathing fresh air of North East India is much better than living in a polluted environment of metros, Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. And hence he started that Project of Paharizones, which was initially a YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/c/PaharizonesIndia, and finally this platform. Also he loves traditions and cultures and hence he took this platform (Paharizones) to showcase and deliver some of the best traditional and handmade items produced in North East India to East, West, North and South India. This is also a way of helping the Handicraft industry and Handicraft artists of North East India to earn their living. With this noble mission, in view, Paharizones is born.
